LM5P is responsible for the lighting of the Cézanne Lounge at MPM airport.
This project consisted in renewing and rethinking the VIP lounge at Marseille airport, whose decoration and lighting were ageing. The challenge for us was to enable travellers, through the choice of materials and lighting, to be welcomed in a unique and relaxing place, far from the incessant hustle and bustle of the check-in and boarding halls.
These requirements therefore led us to work closely with the architect: to think lighting in terms of materials and furniture!
The general lighting, created by fine-necked spotlights, is perfectly integrated into the false ceiling and brings light where it is needed.
The combination of free-standing lamps and wall lights projecting indirect light onto wooded walls brings a real sensation of warm light, reinforcing the desired “cosy” effect in this space.
In the entrance hall, a custom-made light sculpture on the wall welcomes the traveller and allows him to fully feel the uniqueness of this VIP lounge. This sensation is reinforced by huge wave-shaped backlit light gorges that give a real sense of depth and grandeur to the space.
