The bedroom is the room dedicated to comfort and calm, so to take care of its lighting and promote a warm and cosy atmosphere, we opt for wall lamps and tinted bulbs. The latter diffuse an atmosphere conducive to rest.

Discreet lighting...

To avoid visual discomfort, indirect lighting (i.e. lighting directed at a surface such as a wall) should be used for all luminaires. This avoids a glare effect when the light is switched on.

2

Individual lighting...

It is important to choose individual lighting on each side, such as bedside lamps or two hanging lamps on either side of the bed. A little extra would be to integrate a dimmer switch, so that you can vary the intensity of the light and read more easily for example !

A floating effect...

In order to avoid lighting the entire room, it is possible to choose to light only the edges of the bed. This defines the space around the furniture and at the same time gives it a levitating effect.

6

A touch of originality...

In the idea of giving a touch of originality in the decoration of a room there are different options. Like the possibility of recreating a starry sky, or for a more designer atmosphere, LED ribbons integrated into the architecture of the room.

7

By day and by night...

When a bay window is present in the room, it is interesting to place a light channel above it. This is because it reproduces natural light.

8

The right light in the right place...

Finally, still with the idea of avoiding being dazzled, it is wise to pay attention to the location of the suspension or ceiling light whose role is to light the whole room. Indeed, if positioning it in the centre of the room seems logical, it often corresponds to the location above the bed, causing glare. Directing the light at the foot of the bed has the advantage of avoiding this problem.
